Following the non-renewal of the intermunicipal recreation agreement<\/a>, a press release from the Township of Hatley dated July 9 officially announced a 50% refund for access to Pleasant View Beach in North Hatley for its citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Did the Township of Hatley conclude that it was cheaper to pay for its citizens on a pay-per-use basis than to split the bills with North Hatley?<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a resident of the Township of Hatley, you must request your receipt from the municipality of North Hatley to obtain a refund. The refund is available for up to $150 on a season pass or 10 daily beach passes. You must collect your receipts to obtain your refund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In its press release, the Township of Hatley recommends that its citizens use the Ayer’s Cliff beach. This beach belongs to the surrounding municipalities and remains free of charge, unlike the North Hatley beach. In addition, the Township of Hatley offers incentives, including a 50% refund on the cost of your parking pass upon presentation of your receipt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
