Obviously,<a href=\"https:\/\/northhatley.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/NH-Sept-16-Presentation-v3.1.pdf\"> the document provided to the public<\/a> seems to me to emphasize achievements rather than sound financial management. Quite frankly, the presentation is partisan rather than in the public interest. However, if you don&#8217;t show your expenses, it means absolutely nothing! But let&#8217;s say we really did make $64,490 in revenue, as the municipality claims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>We bought the docks for $200,000 in 2024:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Do we have a loan for this amount?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How much of this debt has been repaid? I have not found the municipality&#8217;s moving and relocation costs. In my opinion, moving a municipal office is more expensive than a residential move. We also had to install internet, telephones, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CPE rent = $3,500 &#8211; $3,000 Temporary rent = $500<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What were the costs:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Move twice rather than once!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Setup (internet, phone, security) twice rather than once!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong><strong>How much profit remains after subtracting expenses?<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><br><a href=\"https:\/\/northhatley.info\/en\/2025\/07\/16\/delay-in-the-renovation-of-north-hatley-town-hall-offices\/\">By the way, when will the work on City Hall be completed?<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Conclusion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Based on my quick analysis, the current municipal administration of the village of North Hatley shows a glaring lack of rigor in financial management. The proof is that the presentation on September 16th was weak in concrete financial results, but full of achievements, revenues without expenses, subsidies not obtained, and donations for specific projects that are not essential to proper functioning. Presenting revenues without presenting expenditures is absurd, and presenting grants that have not yet been obtained is misleading. There is a lot of smoke and mirrors, but little concrete information. In addition, the <a href=\"https:\/\/northhatley.info\/2025\/09\/09\/quest-ce-quune-communication-partisane-dans-un-contexte-dadministration-municipale\/\">presentation is totally partisan<\/a>, coming just before the election was called on September 19, two days after the presentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/northhatley.info\/2025\/09\/09\/quest-ce-quune-communication-partisane-dans-un-contexte-dadministration-municipale\/\">However, in Quebec, municipalities must comply with strict rules on political neutrality, especially outside of election periods.
