For example, during the 2024 summer season, <a href=\"https:\/\/northhatley.info\/en\/2025\/07\/17\/68000-for-pleasant-view-beach-lifeguard-salaries\/\">the mayor noted that lifeguard salaries at the municipal beach alone totaled nearly <strong>$68,000<\/strong>.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Unknown financial results for the municipal beach<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To date, no detailed financial statement (profit and loss) for Pleasant View Beach for the last season has been made public. It would nevertheless be relevant to assess the real financial impact of the Township of Hatley\u2019s absence, as it instead <a href=\"https:\/\/cantondehatley.ca\/profitez-des-plages-cet-ete-remboursements-offerts-aux-residents-du-canton-de-hatley\/\">chose to reimburse its residents for <strong>50% of the cost of a beach access pass<\/strong> to North Hatley<\/a>, without sharing operating expenses with the village.
