Following what is happening in the municipality isn’t easy. Meeting minutes are often long and dry to read, and the audio recordings are not much more digestible. Also, very few people attend council meetings, either because of lack of time or lack of interest.
Usually, you have access to the minutes and audio recordings of the meetings on the municipality’s website. As for questions from citizens and residents, they are not transcribed in the minutes. You therefore have to listen to the audio file to find the questions.
To make it easier to track decisions, I asked ChatGPT to summarize, in chronological order, the minutes of the last four years, to better follow the evolution of decisions by the North Hatley Municipal Council. For me, this exercise really clarified what has been decided and what needs to be monitored in the coming months.
