The purpose of this article is to present the costs and parameters involved in building a refrigerated ice rink in Quebec.
The town of Coteau-du-Lac, which has a population of 7,473, wanted to build a refrigerated ice rink. The proposed indoor refrigerated ice rink would have a surface area of 26.21 m by 61.26 m, which is the standard size for the National Hockey League. This facility would provide citizens with optimal ice conditions from November to April, regardless of the weather. Outside of the winter season, the concrete slab could host a multitude of sports and community activities, thereby helping to enrich the cultural and recreational offerings for all generations.
To gauge public support, the municipality kept a register. Last February, citizens ultimately voted against the $4,597,480 borrowing bylaw for the construction of a covered refrigerated skating rink.

Probablement!
